Asawana Farms is a Southern
Cameroonian / Ambazonian farm growing Specialty Vegetables in Upper Marlboro, MD

Our farm was founded to provide fresh, organic vegetables to the residents of Prince George’s County. The farm also offers volunteering and educational programs.

Our Mission

We are a practical research hub for Food as Medicine.

We provide space for children, high school students, college students and adults to learn how to grow their own organic food.

We provide an educational space for children, teens, and city adults to learn about simple and practical agriculture.

We connect the African American community to the motherland through food, indigenous knowledge and farming.

We foster networks and facilitate cross cultural understanding.

We grow authentic African specialty vegetables and reduce food deserts.
